"Lekker" … the popular Afrikaans / South African slang word for "nice," "delicious," or “great”, that combined with Italy, it represents a fun, high-quality Italian-themed market experience featuring food, wine, culture and live music.

The Italian Club of Cape Town was established by Italian Immigrants in the late 1960's, who settled in Cape Town, seeking a sense of community and a connection to their Italian heritage. The club served as gathering place for Italians and their descendants, offering a range of cultural, social, and recreational service.
